Approaching your 1,000th career point is always exciting.
"The whole student section, the whole school knew it," Darren Clark said. "They had a countdown on the sideline for us."
Finally reaching that milestone is special, but even better when you reach it the same night as one of your friends and teammates.
"As it started to get closer we knew we probably could do it so the stars just aligned and we got it," said Isaac Kopp.
Clark and Kopp became the latest 1,000 point scorers in Franklinville program history but what’s even more unique, they were the second and third to do so this season.
They joined senior Sam Erickson who grabbed his a few weeks back.
"It's kind of cool that we all got to do it our senior year," Erickson said. "It's gonna be a fun year I think."
Three players reaching the same milestone in a single season.
All three are co-captains and share a bond on and off the court.
"Through the years we realized how much we really need each other so it just keeps getting stronger by the year," Kopp said.
Erickson and Kopp have been friends and teammates since they were little while Clark joined the team last season.
That camaraderie shows when they played.
"We love to get on each other and yell at each other," Erickson said. "But we show love and compassion when it's needed as well."
The trio have been leading the Panthers all season whether it be in scoring, assists, or rebounds.
As the regular season winds down, they're hoping for another postseason run that continues to set the bar for the future of the Franklinville program.
"Everybody's gotten a heck of a lot better," Clark said. "I feel like going to states last year, we can re-create that journey together."
