Clarence & Amherst fall in Far West Regionals

Trailing by 10 late in the fourth quarter, the Clarence girls basketball team pulled to within five of Mercy in the final minutes but couldn't get any closer in a 47-40 loss in the Class AA Far West Regionals.

Ali DiGulio hit a three to pull the Red Devils within 41-34.  Anna Davies added two more on Clarence's next trip down the court to make it a 41-36 ball game, however Mercy hit their free throws at the end to secure the victory.

The Red Devils finish the season with a 21-3 overall record.

In the Class A Far West Regional, Pittsford-Mendon used a 10-6 run to pull away from Amherst in the final minutes for a 61-57 victory.

The Tigers end the season on a 20-4 record.
