Bennett's Isaiah McDuffie capped off his stellar prep career winning the Connolly Cup as Western New York's high school football player of the year.

McDuffie rushed for 1,531 yards and 21 touchdowns, while also collecting 111 total tackles on defense to help power the Tigers to their first Section VI Championship in program history.

Bennett defeated Starpoint 28-13 in the Class A Section VI title game, becoming just the second Buffalo Public School to win a sectional title.  South Park became the first in 2015.

"This is a great honor. It definitely has to be one of the best accomplishments of my life," McDuffie said of the honor.  "I couldn't have done it without a lot of people and I'm just really thankful to have great people in my life to get me here."

For his career, the running back rushed for 5,529 yards and combined to score 69 touchdowns.

McDuffie will play college football at Boston College as a linebacker for the Eagles.
