Akron falls to Christian Brothers Academy in Class D semis

Akron's run at the Class D Championship came to an end Wednesday night with a 20-3 loss to Christian Brothers Academy in the semifinals.

Trailing 6-0 in the first quarter, Gates Abrams finally got the Tigers on the board to pull them within five.

CBA answered back with four straight goals to open up a 10-1 lead before Michael Miller made in a 10-2 game laste in the second quarter.

After being help without a goal in the third quarter, Super 7 Athlete of the Week Owen Hill netted the third and final goal of the game and the Tiger's season.

Akron ends the season with an 18-2 overall record.
