Former UB men's basketball star CJ Massinburg signs with Brooklyn Nets

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (WKBW) — CJ Massinburg, a former star on the University at Buffalo Bulls men's basketball team, has signed a deal with the NBA's Brooklyn Nets.

The 22-year-old Dallas, Tex. native played 130 games in four years at UB, averaging over 15 points a game, along with six rebounds and was named the Mid-American Conference Player of the Year last season.

Massinburg is one of 20 players on the Nets roster, and could be sent to the team's G-League affiliate Long Island Nets.

The 6'5" guard signed a contract after appearing in summer league games with Brooklyn; the team has not disclosed the terms of the deal.
