The Arizona Coyotes made history on Wednesday, hiring Dawn Braid as the NHL's first full-time female coach.
She will serve as the team's skating coach. Braid worked part-time with the Coyotes last year.
Previously, Braid served as a consultant for the Buffalo Sabres, Toronto Maple Leafs and Anaheim Ducks.
In January, the Bills hired Kathryn Smith as the league's first full-time female assistant, naming her the quality control-special teams coach.
It's a proud day for our organization.
