AMHERST, NY (WKBW) — Following an undefeated regular season, UB coach Lance Leipold has been named the MAC coach of the year. It's the second time he's earned this honor.

The Bulls are 5-0 following a dominant regular season and will be representing the MAC East in the Championship game this weekend. They lead the nation in scoring [51.8 points per game] and rushing yards per game [344.6].

Leipold joined the Bulls in 2015 and has helped build the program year after year. They're coming off their first ever postseason win in the Bahamas Bowl [2019] and have earned the program's first ever AP national ranking [currently no. 23].

UB takes on Ball State this Friday in Detroit, Michigan.
