AMHERST, NY (WKBW) — Following an undefeated regular season, UB coach Lance Leipold has been named the MAC coach of the year. It's the second time he's earned this honor.
The Bulls are 5-0 following a dominant regular season and will be representing the MAC East in the Championship game this weekend. They lead the nation in scoring [51.8 points per game] and rushing yards per game [344.6].
Leipold joined the Bulls in 2015 and has helped build the program year after year. They're coming off their first ever postseason win in the Bahamas Bowl  and have earned the program's first ever AP national ranking [currently no. 23].
UB takes on Ball State this Friday in Detroit, Michigan.
