BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The preseason honors continue for UB running back Jaret Patterson. A day after being named to the Maxwell Award preseason watch list, Patterson was added to the watch list for the Doak Walker Award. It's an honor given to the top college running back.
Patterson rushed for 1,013 yards and 14 touchdowns last year, the most ever by a freshman in school history. He was a second-team All-MAC selection and was named the MAC Freshman of the Year.
The recipient of the 2019 Doak Walker Award will be announced on Thursday, December 12th.
UB kicks off the season on August 29th when they host Robert Morris.
