BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The UB men's basketball team closed out the regular season with a big road win, topping Bowling Green 88-84 on Friday evening. Despite grabbing a win, the Bulls failed to earn a bye to the MAC Tournament quarterfinals following a Ball State win over Northern Illinois.

The Bulls led 40-33 at halftime, but a Bowling Green run put the Falcons right back into the game early in the second half. UB eventually pulled away and led by seven points late. Clutch free throws down the stretch kept the Bulls in control.

Jayvon Graves finished with 25 points in the win while Josh Mballa added 16 points and 12 rebounds for a double-double. Davonta Jordan, Jeenathan Williams, and Ronaldo Segu also finished in the double figures for the Bulls.

The Bulls are the no. 5 seed in next week's MAC Tournament and will have to play a first round game next Monday. They will host no. 12 Miami (OH) at Alumni Arena with a start time to be determined.
