AMHERST, N.Y. (WKBW) — The UB men's basketball team has put themselves in a good position following a 72-59 win over Ball State Tuesday night. The win moved the Bulls into 4th place in the latest conference standings, which would be good enough for a first round bye in the MAC Tournament should the regular season end today.

The Bulls avenged a 20-point loss to the Cardinals earlier this season and were able to dominate in several different areas. They out-rebounded the Cardinals, grabbed more points off turnovers, more points in the paint, and fast-break points. Josh Mballa, Jayvon Graves and Jeenathan Williams all finished with 16 points in the win. Mballa also added 15 rebounds.

Just five regular season games remain for the Bulls as they continue to make a first round bye push. UB will visit Kent State on Friday.
