AMHERST, NY (WKBW) — The University at Buffalo offensive line hasn't allowed a sack in nine straight games, dating back to last season, and the country is taking notice. For the second straight season, the unit is a semifinalist for the Joe Moore Award. It's an honor given to the top offensive line in college football.
The Bulls are the only team in the country to not allow a sack this season and have helped the run game become so successful. The Bulls backfield leads the nation in rushing with an average of 344.6 yards a game and have 27 rushing touchdowns, good for ninth in the nation.
UB is one of 11 semifinalists. The others include: Alabama, BYU, Coastal Carolina, Iowa, Iowa State, Kentucky, Louisiana, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Texas A&M.
The finalists will be announced on December 21st.
