UB moves up to no. 19 in AP Poll with two regular season games left

AMHERST, N.Y. (WKBW) — After picking up two more conference wins, the UB men's basketball team has moved up a few spots in the latest AP Poll, coming in at no. 19. It's their 17th straight week appearing in the national rankings, extending the program's record.

UB beat Akron on Tuesday 77-64 and followed it up with a win over Miami (OH) 77-69 on Friday. The wins improved them to 26-3 overall and 14-2 in the Mid-American Conference. Their 26 wins are the most ever in the regular season.

The Bulls will be at Ohio on Tuesday and with a win, can clinch the MAC regular season title outright for the second straight season and secure the #1 seed in the upcoming MAC tournament. They will wrap up the regular season on Friday when they host Bowling Green.
