AMHERST, N.Y. (WKBW) — Despite a slim lead at halftime, UB men's basketball lost to Akron 86-73 at home on Saturday.

The Bulls and the Zips traded blows throughout the first half. For every UB run, Akron responded. But the Bulls couldn't keep pace for all 40 minutes.

Akron's Loren Cristian Jackson dropped 35 points on 12-of-27 shooting. The Bulls' leading scorer, Jeenathan Williams, racked up 18 points.

UB drops to 9-7 in conference play and 18-11 overall. They host Miami (OH) on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
