The UB men needed a win.
After losing in overtime to Canisius at the Big Four Classic, the Bulls hit the road and lost again, falling to Robert Morris 74-71 to dip to 5-7 on the year.
Behind 15 points from both Blake Hamilton and CJ Massinburg, UB improved to 6-7 on the season.
With the non-conference schedule behind them, the Bulls are now preparing to defend their Mid-American Championship when they open league action on Jan. 3 on the road against Toledo.
After a slow start and falling into an early 7-2 hole to the Black Bears, the Bulls used a 13-0 run to open up a 15-7 lead and never trailed again.
