The UB football team grabbed their 2nd win of the season Saturday night with a 34-31 victory over Florida Atlantic University.
The Bulls struck first in the 1st quarter after QB Tyree Jackson scored two rushing touchdowns to put them up 14-0 early. FAU answered with two touchdowns of their own in the 2nd. After both teams hit a field goal, it was a 17-17 game at the half.
In the 2nd half of play, UB once again jumped back out in front after Theo Anderson scored his first career touchdown to put them up 24-17 and later led it by 10 after a 42-yard field goal. FAU though once again stormed back but UB held on to win it.
Jackson finished 11-of-18 for 145 passing yards. He added 38 yards on the ground including those two rushing touchdowns in the 1st quarter. Running back Emmanuel Reed surpassed the 100 yard mark on the ground with more than 25 carries on the night.
UB is now 2-2 on the year. They're back in action next Saturday at Kent State.
