BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — A premature Gatorade bath never hurt anybody; especially University at Buffalo football head coach Lance Leipold. His 2019 Bulls won the program's first bowl game 31-9 over Charlotte on Friday.
The Makers Wanted Bahamas Bowl brought both teams to Atlantis Resort in Nassau for the whole week before playing one of the first games of the 2019-2020 bowl season.
Friday afternoon's game saw Jaret Patterson run for 173 yards and two touchdowns in the win. Kyle Vantrease added a passing touchdown and a rushing touchdown, as well. Both of them will be back at Buffalo for the 2020 season.
