MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WKBW) — After a disappointing finish in Detroit last weekend, UB football ended their season on the right foot with a 17-10 win over Marshall in the Camellia Bowl on Friday.

Star RB Jaret Patterson was inactive for the Bulls' final game of 2020. Kevin Marks took over as the primary back and piled up 35 carries for 138 yards and a touchdown.

Both defenses shone throughout the game; the first points were scored by UB quarterback Kyle Vantrease on 4th and goal early in the 2nd quarter. The Bulls led 10-7 at halftime.

UB and the Thundering Herd were tied 10-10 for most of the second half. An 88-yard drive by the Bulls led to Marks's go-ahead touchdown with 1:09 to play in the game.

The victory marks the end of the season for Lance Leipold and company. The Bulls (6-1) went undefeated in their shortened regular season, and were ranked in the AP Poll for the first time in program history earlier this year.
