BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — It only took one minute and 17 seconds for the Liberty Flames to get on the board. It only went downhill from there for UB.

The Bulls drop to 1-2 after falling 35-17 to the Flames in Lynchburg. A 21-point second quarter from Liberty put UB in a hole that it just couldn't climb out of.

Redshirt freshman quarterback Matt Myers threw just 15 of 33 for 167 yards and two touchdowns. On the other side, Liberty's Stephen Calvert threw for over 300 yards and four scores.

Defensively, the Bulls had no answers for senior wide receiver Antonio Gandy-Golden. He had eight catches for 174 yards and two scores.

UB returns home next week for their fourth game of the year. They host Temple on Saturday, September 21st at 3:30 p.m.
