Looking to rebound following a loss to Kent State Tuesday, the UB men dropped a close contest to MAC-leading Akron 89-83.

The Bulls are now fourth in the conference standings and will now likely have to win their final two games to maintain that position, and secure a first round bye at the MAC Tournament in Cleveland.

Tied at 55 in the final seconds of regulation, Tyler Nelson sank a game-winning three pointer at the buzzer lifting Fairfield past Canisius 58-55 Friday night at the Koessler Center.

Canisius forward Jermaine Crumpton missed a jumper to potentially win the game, with eight seconds left.

Saint Peter's handed Niagara a 66-53 loss at the Gallagher Center Friday night.

The Purple Eagles fall to 9-21 overall and 6-13 in Metro Atlantic Athletic action and play their final game of the season Sunday against Fairfield.  Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.
