Patterson, UB football team both receive weekly awards

AMHERST, NY (WKBW) — For the third time this season, running back Jaret Patterson has been named the Mid-American Conference East Division offensive player of the week.

Patterson is coming off a career performance against Kent State in which he rushed for a MAC-record 409 yards, which also happens to be the second-highest in NCAA history. He also and tied an NCAA record with eight rushing touchdowns.

The junior is putting up big numbers this season. Through four games, he has compiled 920 yards which is fifth in the country.

Meanwhile, the UB football team as a whole was named the Reveal Suits National Team of the Week following their dominant 70-41 win against the Golden Flashes. It was the program's most points scored in its FBS era.

The Bulls play at Ohio on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m.
