The win is the second straight for Niagara, which improves to 7-14 (4-6 MAAC).
Canisius has now lost three straight, it's longest stretch since opening the year with back-to-back losses to No. 2 Kentucky and Cleveland State to open the season.
The victory is the first in four tries by the Purple Eagles, who were swept in three games last season by the Griffs.
There wasn't much Niagara missed against their foes. They shot a blistering 53 percent from the floor and went 17-for-17 from the charity stripe.
