Niagara bounced from MAAC Tournament with 84-59 loss to Monmouth

The Niagara men’s run in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Tournament came to an end Friday with an 84-59 loss to top seeded Monmouth.

The 9th seeded Purple Eagles gave the Hawks a battle in the first half and were tied at 24 with 6:53 to play in the first half.

However, Monmouth used a 23-6 to end the half and opened up a 47-30 lead at the break.

In the second half, the Hawks continued to push the pace, opening up 22-point lead.

Matt Scott scored just five points, and struggled from the floor connecting on only two of his 14 attempts on the night.

Dominic Robb led Niagara with 12, while Chris Barton chipped in with 11.

Kahlil Dukes and James Towns each scored 10.
