Joanna Smith tied a career high with 31 points to power the UB women's basketball team to a 77-62 win over Kent State on Saturday.
The senior guard torched the nylon hitting 13 of her 21 shots, including three 3-pointers in the victory.
Smith opened the game on fire, scoring 12 of the Bulls 15 points to power them to a 20-8 lead after one quarter.

She finished the half with 16 points, making six of her seven attempts from the field.
Courtney Wilkins added 13 in the win, while Stephanie Reid chipped in with 12.
Buffalo is now 16-6 overall and 6-5 in Mid-American Conference play. The squad also improved to 10-2 at home this season.
The Bulls return to action February 11, when they host Northern Illinois.
