Matt McLeod tallied his first two career goals to help power Canisius past rival Niagara 4-1 Tuesday night at HarborCenter in the ice edition of the Battle of the Bridge.
The Griffs have now won four of their last five games, going 4-0-1 over that stretch, to improve to 11-10-5 (10-4-4 AHC). Ryan Schmelzer and Dylan McLaughlin each added a power play goal in the third for Canisius.

Niagara falls to (3-19-3, 3-14-2 AHC). Nicolas Carrier scored the lone goal for the Purple Eagles.
Canisius netminder Charles Williams, who was named the Atlantic Hockey Player of the Week, turned away 34 of the 35 shots he faced.
