AMHERST, N.Y. (WKBW) — Back in 2016, Cierra Dillard made the decision to transfer to the University of Buffalo. That decision has done wonders for Dillard who on Saturday, reached the 1,000 point mark in a UB uniform. It's an incredible feat considering the senior guard has played in less than 55 games for the program.

Dillard finished with 26 points and added a career-high 11 assists as the UB women's basketball team topped Northern Illinois 93-64. It was the team's sixth straight conference win after opening up Mid-American Conference play with a loss earlier this month.

Summer Hemphill added 18 points and 14 rebounds in her fifth double-double in the last seven games while Hannah Hall added 17 points.

UB is now 14-4 overall and 6-1 in the MAC. They travel to Ball State on Wednesday.
