BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — In the Battle of the Bridge Part II, the Canisius women came out victorious topping Niagara 78-56 at home on Monday night.
The Golden Griffs dominated the glass, outrebounding Niagara 42-29. Danielle Sanderlin led all scorers with a double-double, racking up 23 points and 12 rebounds. D'Jhai Patterson-Ricks added 16 points, AJ Timbers had 14 points and nine rebounds, while Shannon Conely chipped in with 13 points.
The Purple Eagles struggled from the floor, hitting just 35.5% of their shots. Maggie McIntyre led the Purple Eagles with 16 points off the bench.
With the win Canisius improves to 5-21 overall and 4-13 in Metro Atlantic play. Niagara meanwhile falls to 9-18 overall and 7-11 in conference play.
