BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) — Both the Canisius and Niagara women's basketball teams have once again paused team activities.
The Purple Eagles made the announcement Wednesday, citing a positive COVID test among Tier 1 personnel. A day later, Canisius announced the same news.
As a result of the positive test, Niagara's games against Monmouth, Siena, and Quinnipiac - all scheduled between January 30th and February 7th - have all been postponed. Canisius has postponed its conference road trip to Manhattan, which was scheduled for January 30th and 31st. They do plan on resuming play in time for their series against Iona February 5th and 6th.
Niagara has been able to just play four games so far this season [1-3] while Canisius has been able to play five [0-5].
