BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) — The Canisius hockey team has once again paused team activities following a positive COVID-19 test among a Tier 1 personnel member. Those include student-athletes, coaches, managers, and select support staff.

The school says the test was discovered during regular COVID testing, which happens three times a week.

As a result of the positive test, Canisius has postponed five games between now and January 16th. Those games include two-game series' against RIT and Robert Morris, and a game against Mercyhurst.

This is the second pause for the program since the regular season began. Earlier this week, Canisius announced a positive test within the men's basketball program.

The next game for the Golden Griffs is scheduled for January 19th against RIT.
