Two years after changing their logo to reflect their status in the SUNY system, the University at Buffalo is bringing "Buffalo" back to athletics.
The university unveiled its new logo Tuesday that showcases a new bull head and the words "Buffalo" or "Buffalo Bulls" displayed along with it.
Two years ago, UB changed the logo language to "State University of New York Buffalo." The university says "New York" will still be a part of their identity with their new tagline, "New York's Public Powerhouse," but "Buffalo" had a bigger place in the hearts of the UB community.
Athletic teams will be getting new uniforms in a phased approach, the timeline of which is still being worked out.
