Bonnies punch ticket to A10 Championship game for first time since 2012

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The St. Bonaventure men's basketball team is one win away from punching their ticket to the NCAA Tournament.

The Bonnies, the 4th seed in the A10 Tournament, topped 8th seed Rhode Island 68-51 Saturday afternoon to advance to the championship game. It's their first appearance in that championship game since 2012.

Kyle Lofton poured in a game-high 23 points in the win while Dom Welch and LaDarien Griffin each added 13. Osun Osunniyi finished with 10 points and a game-high 11 rebounds.

The Bonnies will play either Davidson or St. Louis in that championship game set for Sunday afternoon at Barclays Center.
