St. Bonaventure jumped out to an early 2-0 lead and wouldn't lead against until the final minute of regulation, in a thrilling 67-63 comeback win against St. Joseph's Tuesday night at the Reilly Center.
What would have gone in the books as a bad loss turned into an epic 18-point comeback for the Bonnies, who improve to 13-6 overall and 5-2 in the Atlantic 10. St. Joe's falls to 9-10 (2-5 A-10).
Freshman Josh Ayeni gave the Bonnies just their second lead of the game, hitting a jumper with 1:34 left to put Bona on top 63-62. Ayeni finished with 12 points.
Jaylen Adams led Bona with 19.
St. Bonaventure has now won three straight games.
