Clarence native drafted by New Jersey Devils

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Clarence native Case McCarthy is heading to the NHL, with the 118th pick in the fourth round of the NHL Draft he was selected by the New Jersey Devils.

The former Buffalo Jr Sabre spent last season with the United States National Team Development Program in Michigan.

In 62 games the 18-year-old defenseman had five goals and 24 assists.

Next season McCarthy is committed to play hockey at Boston University.
