DEPEW, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Flix Theater on Transit Road in Depew has now canceled a drive-in screening of Sunday's Bills game vs. the Seattle Seahawks.
"After discussions with the Erie County Department of Health, and given the increasing number of Covid-19 cases in our region, Summit has decided to cancel this fundraising event out of concern for our attendees, volunteers, and the Western New York community. While Flix Theater had a number of safety precautions in place, the rising rates are too significant to ignore," says the venue in a statement.
The event was intended to benefit the The Summit Center's Early Autism Program and Summit Academy.
