AMHERST, N.Y. (WKBW) — 10 skaters and five goalies from all around the world descended on Western New York today for a chance to play with the NWHL's Buffalo Beauts.

"We had girls travel from Slovakia, Minnesota, all over for this camp. So that shows us enough where their passion lies," Beauts general manager Mandy Cronin said.

The Beauts have used similar camps to add to their roster in years past, and this camp could be as important as ever. The NWHL is expanding both the length of its season and its salary cap.

"We had a base of what we were looking for expectation wise," head coach Peter Perram said. "Today just solidified what we were looking for."

The Buffalo Beauts' 2019 season will start in October.
