BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Toronto Blue Jays exacted revenge on the New York Yankees Wednesday night in Buffalo, defeating them 14-1 at Sahlen Field after losing the previous night 12-1.
With the win on Wednesday, the Blue Jays are now one win away from clinching a playoff spot, and can do it in Buffalo.
The Blue Jays scored a whopping eight runs in the sixth inning to improve to 29-27 on the season.
Meanwhile the Yankees, who have already clinched a playoff spot, fell to 32-24 on the season.
The two teams will face each other one more time on Thursday in Buffalo, and then the Blue Jays face the Baltimore Orioles at Sahlen Field for the final three games of the regular season.
