What a difference a few days makes.

At the start of their series with Syracuse, the Buffalo Bisons were at the bottom of the International League North Division standings with a 7-10 record. On Sunday, when the series concluded, the Bisons vaulted toward the top of those standings and are now sitting just a half game back of first place.

The Bisons defeated Syracuse 6-1 in Sunday's four-game series finale and earned their first sweep of the season. The win also moved them to 11-10 overall and are sitting a half-game back behind first Pawtucket.

The Bisons came out hot and never looked back. Pitcher Ryan Borucki retired 19 of the final 21 batters he faced and allowed just two singles while Roemon Fields became the 8th Bison in the modern era to steal 50 bases with the team.

The Bisons are back at home Monday night when they begin a three-game series with Rochester.
