BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — There's 15 games left on the regular season schedule for the Buffalo Bisons and now more than ever, they need to end August on a high note.

The Bisons enter Monday night's game against Rochester just two games back of the lead in the International League North Division standings. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre leads the division with Buffalo, Syracuse and Rochester all just a few games behind. With the top of the division standings fairly close, Bisons GM Bobby Meacham knows how important this time is but says they can't focus on what could be.

"The best team's going to win so we're going to try not to worry about everybody else and just try to be the best of the bunch," Meacham said. "That just means we take care of our games, we take care of getting better everyday and working hard everyday and pull out more victories everyday than the rest of them. In the end of it all, if we're the best team in our division, we'll win more games than everybody else."

The Bisons begin the week with a series in Rochester.
