As the future for Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor continues to hang in the wind, former Bills great Jim Kelly has made his opinion clear.

"We do not have [a franchise quarterback] as of right now," Kelly told ESPN's "First Take" in a live interview Wednesday Monring.

"Tyrod Taylor, he did a lot of things this year, and last year that a lot of quarterbacks in the NFL cannot do," Kelly continued. "But consistently, he just wasn't what we needed."

According to ESPN, One major decision on Tyrod's future comes in the coming months: Buffalo has until March 11 to pick up Taylor's contract option for the 2018-21 seasons. If they do, Tyrod is guaranteed $30.75 million.

If he's on the roster March 12, Tyrod will be guaranteed $27.5 million for the 2017 season alone.
