The long legal battle about DeflateGate is over for New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. On Friday afternoon, Brady announced on his Facebook page that he was dropping his case, and will now be suspended for the first four games of the 2016 NFL season.

Brady had his most recent request for an appeal hearing denied by the U.S. Second Circuit Court, and his only step remaining would have been to ask for a hearing, or a stay, from the United States Supreme Court. Instead of that, Brady is bowing out and will not participate in the first month of the season.

For Bills fans, it also means that Brady will officially be suspended for Buffalo's Week Four showdown with the Patriots in New England. That game is scheduled to occur on October 2 at Gillette Stadium and barring injury, the Bills will be up against backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.
