After firing Karl Dunbar, the Buffalo Bills have hired John Blake as defensive line coach.

The team announced Blake agreed to terms Tuesday morning. Jason Rebrovich will also coach the defensive line and Jeff Weeks will now be the outside linebacker coach.

Blake replaces Dunbar, who was fired last week and came with Rex Ryan from the New York Jets. When he was fired, Ryan released a statement saying, "This was a difficult decision as Karl both played for me and then coached on my staff with two different teams and I have a great deal of respect for him. But I feel we needed to make a change and go in a different direction at this point in time and so I have informed Karl that I am relieving him of his duties. I want to take this opportunity to thank Karl and wish him the best of luck in the future."

Blake is a two-time Super Bowl champion who is returning for a second stint in the NFL. He coached the Dallas Cowboys from 1993-1995. He also coached the Oklahoma Sooners from 1996-1998, where Ryan served as his defensive coordinator.

He joins the Bills after most recently being the University of North Carolina defensive line coach from 2007-2010.
