Amherst native Glenn Gronkowski continued to prove he's earned a spot on the roster, and Nick O'Leary finally showed life in the preseason, but it wasn't enough as the Bills offense failed to reach the end zone in a 31-0 loss to the Lions.

The Bills now turn their attention their season opener on Sept. 11, against Baltimore.

Gronkowski finished with four carries for 19 yards and continued to impress the staff with his blocking ability. O'Leary had the best preseason game of his career leading the Bills with six receptions for 63 yards.

EJ Manuel struggled to find an early rhythm as he was sacked three times.  Cardale Jones played the majority of the second quarter and all the second half finishing 12-for-26 for 117 yards and an interception.

The Bills defense had it's struggles as well. Missed assignments and tackles led to a Dwyane Washington 58 yard touchdown on Detroit's opening drive.

In total, the Lions offense shredded the Bills reserves for 357 yards.
