Buffalo Bills fans can say something pretty sweet: The Bills lead the AFC East.
Following a 21-12 win over the New York Jets on Sunday, the Bills are 1-0 on the season giving new head coach Sean McDermott a great start to his career in Buffalo.
Quarterback Tyrod Taylor started off on a rough note after throwing an endzone interception on their first drive of the game but battled back. He finished 16-of-28 with 224 yards passing, 2 touchdowns, and that one interception. His 38 rushing yards on the day helped him become the all-time rushing leader among all Bills quarterbacks, surpassing Joe Ferguson.
We were told running back LeSean McCoy would get a heavy workload and he had one. McCoy rushed for 110 yards and added 49 yards receiving. He also reached a milestone, cracking the 12,000 yard mark in his career.
The Bills defense was key in the win on Sunday. They recorded two interceptions in the final quarter of play, the last of them sealed the win after Micah Hyde picked off a pass with less than two minutes to go.
The Bills will head to Carolina in week two reuniting Sean McDermott with his old team.
