AMHERST, N.Y. (WKBW) — On the first day of the 2020 NWHL Draft the Buffalo Beauts selected University of Maine goalie Carly Jackson and Northeastern University defender Codie Cross.

Jackson was selected by the third overall pick by the Beauts after posting a 12-11-7 record with the Black Bears, along with a 2.07 goals against average and a .934 save percentage.

“Fans of Buffalo are getting a consistent, poised and controlled goalie who started for us in all four of her seasons,” said Maine head coach Richard Reichenbach.

Cross finished her senior season at Northeastern with four goals and 12 assists in 33 games.

Rounds three through five will take place Wednesday night at seven o'clock.
