BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — For the second straight game, Corey Small netted the game-winning goal in overtime as the Buffalo Bandits topped the Rochester Knighthawks 16-15 Saturday night. The win moved the Bandits to 5-1 on the season.
Dhane Smith led the Bandits with four goals and 11 points. He also assisted on Small's game-winner. Chris Cloutier added four goals and eight points in the win while goalie Matt Vinc stopped 53 shots.
With the win, the Bandits are within striking distance of the Halifax Thunderbirds in the North division standings. The Thunderbirds are currently 6-1 on the season.
The Bandits hit the road on Friday when they take on Vancouver before heading to Toronto two days later. They'll be back at home on Saturday, February 15th when they host Philadelphia.
