BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — For the first time this season, the Buffalo Bandits found themselves on the losing side of things. The Bandits fell to the Halifax Thunderbirds 15-10 on Saturday night to drop to 1-1 overall.

The Bandits and Thunderbirds were tied 4-4 at the end of the first quarter and that's when the visitors went on a nice run. The Thunderbirds scored six goals in the second quarter, while also keeping the Bandits off the board, and then opened up the second half with another three unanswered to take a commanding lead. The Bandits, down by nine at that point, just couldn't overcome that deficit despite building a late run of their own.

Josh Byrne finished with three goals and two assists while Dhane Smith and Chris Cloutier each added another two goals. Matt Vinc and Doug Buchan combined for 35 saves.

The Bandits are back in action on January 11th when they travel to Georgia to take on the Storm.
