In downtown Buffalo Saturday night, the legends of the hardwood returned to the Queen City.

Gus Gerard, the NBA Rookie of the Year in 1972 Ernie DeGrigorio and Emmette Bryant were on hand and honored by the 716ers during their game against the Monarchs.

Nearly 40 years after the franchise re-located to California, for the Braves, it's good to be home.

"We garnered great support, even as an expansion team," Bryant said. "We sold out the old Aud. I'm very pleased and honored to be offered a chance to come back here and exchange pleasantries and see a lot of old friends."

The 716ers won the game 122-101.
