AKRON, N.Y. (WKBW) — A Western New York staple is adapting to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

Bradley Hellert, the owner and delivery man of Hillside Dairy in Akron retired in 2018, but says he is relaunching delivering milk to homes in Erie County.

Hillside Dairy was the last provider of home dairy delivery in Erie County.

“I still had the truck and the website," Hellert, 64, said. "I’m still young enough and I’m healthy and I have the capability to help people. Milk is in my blood.”

Hillside is now delivering perishable food items by partnering with Tarantino Produce to deliver fruits and vegetables and Butter Crumbs Bakery in Corfu for bread products.

Hellert is delivering to homes in Northern and Central Erie County and most of Southern Erie County.
