You can burn calories, dance with your friends and help kids in Western New York all at the same time!

The annual Zumbathon, a charity dance event, is moving into Daemen College in Amherst on Sunday, March 11th. Tickets are a $15 donation. Doors open at 11 a.m. but the dancing event starts at 2 p.m. It's located at the Wick Center on Daemen's campus.

Mother and daughter duo, Marisa and Cindy Stani have been hosting the event for years. They've turned their love of dance into a way to help their community. Over the years, the Stani's Zumbathons have been able to grant more than 10 wishes! Over the course of four years, they've raised more than $85,000.

All of the proceeds go directly to Make-a-Wish Western New York, helping the organization grant wishes for children with life-threatening illnesses. Every dollar donated stays local to help grant wishes in our area.
