Zemsky: Raising min. wage would boost economy

Local developer and head of Empire State Development Howard Zemsky believes New York should raise the minimum wage to $15/hour.

Zemsky says Governor Andrew Cuomo's proposal will stimulate the economy and reduce the poverty rate.

Cuomo wants the general state minimum wage incrementally increased from $9 to $15 in New York City by the end of 2018 and in 2021 for the rest of the state.
