A 22-year-old man was arrested in the Town of Yorkshire for stabbing a 19-year-old woman on Tuesday, according to State Police.
Police responded to Old Olean Road where they say William Lechner, 22, stabbed a woman in the abdomen.
The victim was taken to a local hospital where she had surgery, according to troopers. They say the surgery was successful and she was released from the hospital.
Lechner is being held in the Cattaraugus County Jail on $10,000 bail.
